Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
This privacy policy explains what personal data Kosher Leads Limited (“we”, “us”) collects through kosherleads.com.ng, why we collect it and how you stay in control of it. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Who we are
Kosher Leads Limited is a retention marketing agency registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria. Our office is at Block 13 Oba Akinloye Drive, Lekki Peninsula II, Lekki, Lagos. You can reach us at hello@kosherleads.com.ng or on +234 807 385 8771.
What we collect
- Contact, consultation and quote forms: your name, email address, subject and message.
- Job applications: the same details, plus the CV and cover letter you attach.
- Blog comments: your name, email address, website (optional) and comment.
- Analytics: the pages you visit, your device and browser type, your approximate location and how you found us, collected by Google Analytics.
- Spam protection: with form messages we keep your browser type, and with forms and comments a scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address that changes every day. We use them only to stop spam and repeated submissions; your IP address itself is not stored.
We do not take payments or collect card details on this website.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry or application, to prepare quotes and proposals, to publish the comments you send (after we approve them) and to understand which pages help visitors so we can improve the site. We rely on your consent when you send us a form or a comment, and on our legitimate interest in running, protecting and improving the site for analytics and spam protection. We never sell your personal data.
Cookies and similar technology
Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits. You can block them in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on. If you ask the comment form to remember you, your name, email and website are saved in your own browser, not on our servers. For the current visit only, the site also notes in your browser that you closed the WhatsApp button and which articles have already counted your visit (so reloading a page is not counted twice); these notes are deleted when you close the tab and are never sent to us. The WhatsApp button and the embedded Google Maps are provided by WhatsApp and Google, which may set their own cookies when you use them.
Cookies in detail
When you first arrive, a small notice asks whether analytics cookies are all right with you. Nothing but the necessary cookies is set until you choose. You can change your mind at any time with the link at the bottom of every page.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Kept for | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| kl_consent | Kosher Leads | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies. | 12 months | Necessary |
| kl_nl / kl_nl_seen | Kosher Leads | Remembers that you have seen or closed the newsletter sign-up, so it does not appear again. | 7 days to 12 months | Necessary |
| kl_admin | Kosher Leads | Keeps the site owner signed in to the admin panel. Only set for staff. | Until sign-out (12 hours) | Necessary |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Counts visits and shows which pages are read, without identifying you by name. | Up to 24 months | Analytics (only with your consent) |
| Comment fields | Kosher Leads | If you tick “remember me” on a comment, your name, email and website are kept in your own browser. | 12 months | Optional |
Blocking cookies in your browser settings works too. The site still works without them; only the newsletter notice may reappear.
We also count page views ourselves, so we can see which articles are read. That count keeps numbers only: the address of the page, the website you arrived from, and whether you are on a phone or a computer. It sets no cookie and stores no IP address, and nothing in it can identify you. Your browser keeps one short note for the length of the visit, so the same visit is not counted twice; it disappears when you close the tab.
Comment pictures (Gravatar)
Pictures next to comments come from Gravatar. A scrambled (hashed) version of your email address is sent to Gravatar so it can show your picture if you have one. Gravatar’s privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy.
Who we share data with
Only the services that run this website: our web host, our email provider, Google Analytics and Gravatar. Google and Gravatar may store data outside Nigeria, under their own privacy safeguards. We share data with the authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Form messages and job applications are kept only as long as we need them to handle your request, and we review and delete old ones regularly. Approved comments stay published until you ask us to remove them. Analytics data follows the retention setting in our Google Analytics account.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@kosherleads.com.ng and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
